In 1919, the Canadian Government formed Canadian National Railway after acquiring several railways that went bankrupt. When the Grand Trunk Pacific was absorbed by CN, a new logo would be created in 1923. This would be a common sight on the tenders of CN’s steam locomotives. Now a common sight on our shirts, as the emblem is located on the left-hand side, just above the chest pocket.
